Minecraft server status checker
Enter your Minecraft Java server's address and port, and KeenCrow checks from the internet whether it accepts connections right now. Free, with no account.
How to use it
- Enter the address players use with the port, for example
play.yourserver.com:25565. 25565 is the default Java port. - The check connects from a server in the United States, so it sees what players outside your network see.
- "Accepted the connection" means the server is reachable. "Did not accept a connection" means it is down, or the port is closed to the internet.
The checker confirms the port accepts a connection. It does not log in or read the player list. Minecraft Bedrock is not supported yet.
Works for you but not for your friends?
- Port forwarding. A server at home needs port 25565 forwarded on the router to the computer running it. If friends cannot join and this check fails, forwarding is the usual cause.
- Firewall. The computer's own firewall can block the port even when the router forwards it.
- Changing home address. Many home connections get a new public address from time to time, so the address friends use stops working.
- The server stopped. A crash, running out of memory or a plugin error after an update.
Know before your players do
KeenCrow can run this check every few minutes and email you, or post to your Discord on any paid plan, when the server stops answering and when it is back. One server is free with no card.
