Terms for this website
Terms of service
Last updated 5 October 2026. This version covers the private beta and will be revised before accounts open.
In short: KeenCrow website monitoring is in private beta. It is offered as it is, with no guarantee that it will catch every problem or deliver every alert.
1. Who provides the service
The service is provided by KeenCrow. In these terms, "KeenCrow", "we" and "us" mean the operator of keencrow.com. "You" means the person or organization using the website or the monitoring service.
By using the website or the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.
How KeenCrow handles information is described in the privacy policy. Read the privacy policy
2. What the service does
The KeenCrow website monitoring service checks whether a website is available over HTTP and HTTPS, whether its domain name resolves in DNS, and whether its TLS certificate is valid, matches the hostname and is not close to expiring.
When an outage is confirmed, the service is designed to send one alert by email, and one more when the website recovers. It is also designed to warn by email when a certificate is close to expiring, and when a website that is reachable becomes consistently slow. Section 5 explains the limits.
3. Private beta
The service is in private beta. It is not open to the public yet. There are no customer accounts, no payments and no dashboard today.
During the beta, the service may change, pause or end at any time, with or without notice. Features described on this website as planned may change or may never be released.
4. No warranty
The service and this website are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, KeenCrow gives no warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, accurate, error free or fit for a particular purpose.
This does not affect any rights the law gives you that cannot be removed.
5. Monitoring is a best-effort aid
Monitoring helps you notice problems. It does not replace your own care for your websites.
KeenCrow does not promise that:
- every outage or problem will be detected,
- every alert will be sent, delivered or read,
- an alert is correct.
Checks run from a single location. Results show what was seen from that location at the time of the check. Visitors in other places may see something different.
Email can be delayed, filtered or lost by systems that KeenCrow does not control.
6. Your responsibilities
You stay responsible for:
- your own websites and how they are run,
- acting on alerts,
- your own backups,
- decisions you make using the service.
7. Acceptable use
You agree to:
- monitor only websites that you own or are authorized to monitor,
- use the service only in lawful ways.
You agree not to:
- use the service to probe, attack, overload or scan any system,
- ask the service to monitor internal or private network addresses,
- resell the service or offer it to others,
- interfere with the service, or try to get around its limits or security.
8. Accounts
Accounts do not exist yet. When they do, you agree to:
- give accurate details and keep them up to date,
- keep your sign-in credentials safe,
- accept responsibility for activity that happens under your account.
9. Paid plans
Paid plans do not exist yet. Nothing can be bought today. The prices shown on this website are planned and may change.
When paid plans are offered, separate terms will apply to payment. You will be able to read them before you pay anything.
10. Limitation of liability
This section applies to the fullest extent the law allows.
KeenCrow is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. KeenCrow is also not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or downtime of your websites, however the loss arises.
KeenCrow's total liability to you for all claims connected with the service or these terms is limited to the fees you paid to KeenCrow in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
11. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, if someone else brings a claim against KeenCrow because of your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover KeenCrow's reasonable losses and costs that result directly from that claim.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time.
KeenCrow may suspend or end your access at any time. Reasons include a breach of these terms, a risk to the service or to other people, or the end of the beta.
When access ends, your right to use the service ends. Sections 4, 5, 6, 10, 11 and 14 continue to apply.
13. Changes to these terms
KeenCrow may change these terms. When that happens, the new version is published on this page with a new date at the top.
If you keep using the website or the service after a change, you accept the new terms.
14. If part of these terms does not apply
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the terms stay in effect.
15. Contact
There is no contact address yet. Contact details will be published on this website before accounts open.
