Privacy policy

Last updated 5 October 2026. This version covers the private beta and will be revised before accounts open.

In short: this website asks you for nothing, sets no cookies and uses no analytics. The web server keeps ordinary access and error logs. This policy also explains what the monitoring service will hold once accounts open.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy is from KeenCrow, the operator of keencrow.com. It covers this website and the KeenCrow website monitoring service.

The service is in private beta. There are no customer accounts yet. This website offers no way to add a website or an email address to the service.

2. What this website collects today

This website does not ask you to submit anything. It has no forms, no sign-up and no chat.

The web server keeps ordinary access and error logs. Each log entry contains:

• the IP address the request came from,
• the time of the request,
• the page requested,
• the browser string sent by your browser.

These logs are used for security and troubleshooting. They are kept for up to 30 days and then deleted.

3. No cookies, analytics or tracking

This website sets no cookies. It uses no analytics and no tracking. It loads no third-party scripts and no third-party fonts.

4. What the monitoring service will hold once accounts open

Once accounts open, the service will hold:

• your email address, to identify your account and to send you alerts,
• the email addresses of any other alert recipients you add, if your plan allows more than one,
• the website addresses you ask to have monitored, so the checks can run,
• check results and incident history, to show you what happened and when,
• a record of the alert emails sent to you, so alerts are not repeated during the same incident and so past alerts can be reviewed.

This information is used to run the monitoring service. It is not used for advertising.

5. No selling of personal information

KeenCrow does not sell personal information.

6. Service providers

KeenCrow uses a small number of providers to run the website and the service.

• Hetzner hosts the website and the service. This is active now.
• Resend will send alert emails once the service is open. To deliver an alert, Resend receives the recipient's email address and the content of the alert.
• Stripe is planned for payments. It is not active. No payment information is collected today.
• Anthropic is planned for AI-assisted explanations of incidents. It is not active. The monitoring itself does not depend on AI.

This policy will be updated before a planned provider becomes active.

7. How monitored websites are checked

KeenCrow sends an ordinary HTTP or HTTPS request to the public address of a monitored website. It also looks up the site's public DNS records and reads its public TLS certificate.

KeenCrow does not log in to monitored websites. It does not collect data about their visitors.

8. How long information is kept

• Server access and error logs: up to 30 days.
• Check results and incident history, once accounts open: for the history period of your plan. The planned periods are 90 days, 1 year or for as long as the account stays open, depending on the plan. These may change.

The exact periods for account information will be stated in this policy before accounts open.

9. Security

KeenCrow takes reasonable steps to protect the information it holds. This includes encrypted connections to this website and limited access to the server.

No system is completely secure. KeenCrow cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, lost or disclosed without permission.

10. Your requests

Once a contact point is published, you can ask KeenCrow what information it holds about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted.

11. Children

This website and the service are not directed at children.

12. Changes to this policy

KeenCrow may change this policy. When that happens, the new version is published on this page with a new date at the top.

13. Contact

There is no contact address yet. A contact point for the requests described in section 10 will be published on this website before accounts open.

Until then, this website does not ask you for any personal information. The only information it records is the server access log described in section 2.
