Website monitoring for freelancers and agencies
When a client's site goes down, the best outcome is that you already know and are already on it. Monitoring makes that the normal case, for a few dollars a month.
What it does for your client work
- You hear first. Every site is checked each minute. An outage is confirmed by three failed checks, then you get one email.
- No expired certificates. You are warned 7, 3 and 1 days before any client certificate runs out.
- The team is covered. Add colleagues' email addresses, or post alerts to a Slack or Discord channel on any paid plan.
- Something to show the client. Uptime for the last 30 days, and on Plus and Pro a step-by-step report of each incident.
- Maintenance without noise. Pause checks for a site while you work on it.
What it costs
Plus covers 10 websites for $5 a month and Pro covers 30 for $10. That is well under a dollar a site, which leaves room to include monitoring in a care plan you already sell.
Two things to know
- The public status page lists every website on the account. If clients should not see each other's names, leave it off or use a separate account for that client.
- Checks run from a single location in the United States. They tell you a site is reachable from there, which catches the outages that matter most.
