CS2 server monitoring
KeenCrow queries your Counter-Strike 2 server the way the server browser does and alerts you when it stops answering, with the map and player count from the last good check.
Setting it up
- Create an account with your email address. One server is free.
- Choose "Game server (Steam query)" and enter the public IP address or hostname and the port, usually
27015. - The first check runs within a minute. On any paid plan, alerts can also go to a Discord or Slack channel.
Why CS2 servers go down
- Updates. Counter-Strike 2 updates often, and an outdated server stops accepting players until it is updated.
- The login token. A public server needs a valid Game Server Login Token. If the token is removed or stops working, players can no longer reach the server.
- Crashes and the host. A crash with nothing to restart it, a reboot, a full disk or a network problem at the host all look the same from outside: no answer.
One missed answer never alerts. Three misses in a row confirm the outage, then you get one message, and one more when the server is back.
Plans
The free plan checks one server every 5 minutes with email alerts. Starter checks 3 servers every minute and posts to Discord for $2 a month, free for the first 10 days. See everything game server monitoring does.
